It looks really cold and uninviting like an office reception not an apartment building. Trisha Lee from @pleasedtobijou comments are very relevant. I feel like its needs to feel warmer and more cosy. Is it possible to introduce some greenery and some lamps on a table? Even some fake plants would make a difference. Some nice big artworks would look much better, to tone down the walls.

A large round ottomen may work on the area with curved walls.

New wall lights, larger timber framed art and coffee tables etc

If the intent is for it too look like an upmarket waiting room at a bus or train station, the 'designer' has nailed it as it is. What is the area actually for? Guests to wait in for resident, making deliveries, walk through area to lifts, etc....the function of the area really needs to dictate what it is furnished for. I really doubt anyone sits on those pink 'ottomans' comfortably....For ideas, visit a 5 star hotel to see how they setup 'meet and greet' areas...
