horizontal anything is a no, the gap would have to be so small it might as well be solid. yes the vertical cable might pass but you are not allowed to be able to squeeze them together as then the gap distance is non complying, The safest one is the solid section PCA pool fence, or glass, or solid, to 1200 mm in Queensland, no greater than 100 mm off ground, and gaps not able to be manipulated, and to stop that you have to have horizontal section in the cable type, which then do not comply, cut metal screens if complying is OK. I would question the void, and if you know the reason for the void, than solutions will be able to be worked out, now we are asking why? Pools in adjoining yards are acceptable with pool fencing complying on both sides, no void is required. so the void sound a bit iffy, unless it is something to do with storm water, or a building requirement, so ask the question why. Pool fencing can be awesome.

MB Design & Drafting, I have to contradict your comment about having only 1 floor waste, we have a large double shower with only 1 floor waste, ours is in the centre of our double shower, our tiles are black and by the time we get out of the shower the water on our shower floor is gone, I always clean the tiles and glass before leaving the shower, I leave the fan on while we dry and by the time we are dried our shower floor is almost dry, we have no trouble at all with only 1 floor waste.. Barbara, we have the same problem, which is not a problem at all, my husband likes his shower much hotter than me but we have our showers turned on to suit each other, we have a small seat at each end to sit on while we wash our hair and feet and each others backs.

You may consider a seat in the shower ( example on our website ) A recess ( niche ) for shower 300mm high max length Wall hung, all drawer vanity. In-wall cistern toilet suite. Mixer diverter, overhead and handheld shower. Quality tapware, with min 10-year warranty Porcelain floor tiles min 300 x 300. Tile to ceiling, ( unless home has high ceiling, if high, tile to an architrave height ) min tile size 600 x 300, Ceramic to rein in cost

Don’t use bar soap as the talc in it which is main culprit. I also have bore water with large amount of minerals so I use a windscreen repellant every six months and squeegee the screen after every shower. It’s held up well for 2.5 years.
