Bathroom Tile Dilemma! How to make travertine cool?
Comments (4)I am no expert but I don't think they will work together. To me they are two different styles and if you use both it will look like a compromise of two clashing styles. I think you need to fully embrace the rustic or the vertical, use one of those as your feature and build around it. Question is; which one? Flip a coin?...See MoreBathroom and ensuite layout dilemma
Comments (38)Hi Pummers, no architect worth that title would ever just provide a default plan. The architect's JOB is to discuss your needs and wants with you and work that into the design, often through a number of revisions until you are satisfied. If he/she doesn't do that, speak up about them not giving you proper architectural service. I know about the problem of space for towel rails in a small bathroom. What I have done in such situations is to fit 2 towel rails on the back of the bathroom door, one at 900 and one at 1800 height. That usually works very well....See MoreBathroom layout help - awkward space at bathroom
Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See Morebathroom tile dilemma
Comments (3)If you do it stop it at vanity height. However, I’d do all horizontal plank tiles to match vanity planks and keep it simple to let the lovely vanity shine....See Morejillmckay428
