Need help designing family bathroom
Comments (5)3300mm room length is just big enough to run everything all along one wall. I would make bath either built into a hob or choose a freestanding design that is 'back to wall' and as narrow as possible (max 800mm). Shower 800-900mm, toilet 900mm elbow space then vanity near door. I would suggest seeing if you can change the door to a cavity slider and shifting it towards the exterior wall so you can use the window-less wall for all your plumbing...That may not be possible depending on whether the cupboard? in the rumpus can go. You would also want good sound insulation between the bathroom and the adjoining bedroom....See MoreHelp please with bathroom design!
Comments (4)I'd suggest replacing your swing door with a sliding door recessed into the wall sliding to right. We did that with our tiny bathroom and it opens up all the wall and space restricted by the door for a vanity next to loo with niche recessed mirror fronted storage above the vanity. Go wall hung to keep floor clear for sense of space....See MoreNeed help with laundry/bathroom design
Comments (9)Its more than enough space for laundry. You can have 600x600 space for stackable dryer and washing machine. 450-550 mm laundry tub. and that leaves you with 1.3m of bench space for folding and pull out ironing. Alternatively you can add a 450mm tall cabinet on the other end for mop and vacuum cleaner storage to match the symmetry of the dryer/wm Put a rod between the tall cabinets and you can hang clothes there for drying when it rains. Its very handy for steaming the clothes as well....See MoreI need help with my ensuite & bathroom design, it's a tricky one!
Comments (10)the biggest challenge is the location of the windows and enlarging the ens without having to rearrange the plumbing too much and, unless you want a bath in the ens and separate toilets my suggestion moves walls to allow for more space while keeping a smaller study and good sized family bathroom, bigger ensuite and more biw .... the area around the flue could be an ideal storage space for an upstairs vacuum cleaner, luggage etc but you should consult a heating specialist to confirm safe ways to enclose the flue and accurate dimensions will depend on how you measure the size of the windows (ie the edge of the window frame or the outside edge of the architraves?) and thickness of old and new walls but something like this could be worth considering...See More- 6 years ago
