Ideas needed for hanging space & use of larger bedroom.
Comments (11)Not entirely sure what's going on here - it seems to be a big room with lots of space for more furniture - so, if you need more storage in the bedroom, get a bigger/wider dresser for the area in pic 1, move the TV out or hang it on the wall, put another dresser (no mirror) in the area where the chairs are in pic 2, and set up your robe in pic 3 so about half of it has two sets of rods, one about halfway down the wall, to hang shirts/blouses etc. Double the storage in that amount of space....See MoreWhere to put the robe in daughter's bedroom
Comments (3)ideally the sliding door could be replaced with a short window and the other window centred to better use floor space but accepting the current doors and windows i suggest quickest solution is a free standing wardrobe (check out IKEA or a refurbished 2nd hand old wardrobe painted her favourite colour?) on any free space otherwise a built in wardrobe should be on the short wall..an 1800mm wide up to 600mm deep built in or freestanding wardrobe 100mm out from the corner with window coverings inside the reveals and no longer than the window OR a shallow (less than 420mm deep) chest of drawers in the corner with a 1200mm wide 60mm deep wardrobe and the other furniture arranged to suit the sliding door opening...See MoreShould I put my builtin robe near the bedroom door?
Comments (12)I would build a new floor to ceiling robe where the existing robe is, extending it across to the door frame and building storage across the top of the doorway to the same depth 600 as the robe, this will give great hanging space and privacy from the living room. I would then add draws approx 450 deep facing the bed, this will give more floor space, I would have a full height wall on the entrance side of the drawers to give privacy to this space which could have a TV or shelves or artwork above these drawers. By using drawers and not full height robes it will make the bedroom feel bigger while adding extra storage. cheers...See Moresuggestion.. add a robe in the master bedroom??
Comments (7)You seem to have ample space in your dressing room particularly if you do not have a lot of clothes . If you add in the BIW in the bedroom you will lose that luxurious spacious master suite feel . If you eventually find the space inadequate then you could add a robe down the track . Don’t forget that in the dressing room your shelving storage allows you to store right up to the ceiling , even over your dresser area if you lose the window ....See Moredreamer
