Plant advice needed for narrow path garden

Liz

Looking for plant ideas for a narrow (~30cm) path garden.

It gets full sun (SE Qld) and needs to be low maintenance (we have a big yard, lots of hedges and not a lot of time) and require not a big amount of watering.

Would love some colour in it, whether from flowers (think white, pinks or purples would work best) or plant follage.

We will only plant the left side of path (closest to grass) as next to the path on the right side is rosemary which grows over the rocks and into path garden. While the rosemary is not a favourite, it suits the sloping block and the lack of rain.

Would like to remove the red circled shrubs in photo 1.

There are a few stumps in the path garden to be removed or planted around.

Would like whatever we plant along path to work with the murraya hedge, pencil pines and camellias (pink flowers) that we have.

At a later date, will re-plant the garden where the camellia is. Possibly more camellias (white or pink) or gardenias or some other pretty flowering tree.

Along the fence where the 2 pencil pines are, thinking about more murrayas (left as they grow and not hedged) as they are quick growing and could block view of neighbour's shed. This is the one spot in the front yard that gets mostly shade.

I'm not a green thumb so would welcome all ideas. And sorry for the long post ;)
