bathroom makeover
Comments (6)For a budget friendly, do it yourself update, paint and replacement of a few items. As your shower screen has a silver/steel frame, update the handle on the vanity/mirror cabinet, the taps, toilet roll holder and towel rails to stainless steel. As you have a terracotta tile on your floor, choose a warm white such as Dulux 'Natural White' or 'Whisper White', Resene 'Quarter Bianca' or Sherwin Williams 'Fundamental White'. Then you will be able to use any colour for your towels/floor mats....See MoreNeed help to revamp boring bathroom
Comments (12)If you are on a tight budget I would do the following: Change the handles on the cabinet. This is inexpensive and makes a massive difference. You can buy cheap handles from bunnings/ikea, I have even seen them at kmart Consider a pot plant between the cabinet and shower with a nice luscious plant like a peace lilly or something similar If you can stretch your budget maybe consider changing the tapware? This may cost a bit as you would need a plumber. I did read somewhere you can spray paint the taps but you need special paint, this would be a lot cheaper than getting new taps. Changing the cistern may be expensive but places like kmart and ikea have great wooden/bamboo covers that act as a shelf to go over the toilet semi disguising it which you can then use for more storage. If your budget stretches I would get a new mirror but if not its not a big deal. Also maybe a nice floor matt, could go bamboo/wood to match the toilet cover. You can also get bamboo ladders from kmart as an extra storage space.. just be careful the room doesnt get too cluttered :) http://www.kmart.com.au/product/decorative-bamboo-ladder/807386?gclid=CP-Q1Zbj99ECFYcKKgodBBsD0Q http://www.kmart.com.au/product/bamboo-duck-board/807389 http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/00222355/...See MoreNeed advices on renovating kitchen and 2nd bathroom
Comments (16)For most projects we are engaged for we begin with what we call a "feasibility" stage of service which is structured to provide clarity in regards to what are the logical and viable project approaches. The exercise considers options/variations of a nominated project scope within the specific context and applies accurate cost projections to a considered array of scenarios/options in broad form. We find this exercise to be is extremely helpful, particularly when people are scratching their heads with how far or how exactly to best approach a renovation/extension. What it does is provide the client with accurate information and understanding of what is possible in a particular format and for what cost and can hence they are better positioned to make properly informed decisions one way or the other moving forward. Whenever a significant property/project investment is being considering we believe it makes sense to allocate a proportion of the investment to professional advice that will help focus the project direction to both best suit a particular circumstance and also result in a maximised outcome/value....See MoreBathroom facelift help
Comments (7)not sure a mosaic is the first thing i would do in this space!! But placing a few leafy plants will freshen up the overly warm vibe. We have been in h=our house for 13 years now and somehow we still have a 1980 bathroom, arghh. This bathroom looks functional enough to me just for now. But you could tweak it to take out some of that peachy vibe by creating a bit of contrast with more white. paint wall tiles and cabinet doors white, change taps over to chrome finish (this alone will make a world of difference), white towels and simple accessories and yes, lose the lace curtain (might need some frosting for the window if overlooked.). good luck with it all :)...See MoreCynthia House
