Trouble choosing a benchtop for Kitchen renovation
Comments (7)Hi if you are remodelling yourselves it helps to think of the blocks of colour in large scale as well as the natural and artificial lighting - things will change accordingly. I found some images here on Houzz for both of those samples. In the end, each tone will give you a different feel. Factoring in the design of the kitchen itself. This first kitchen uses 'Bianco Drift' in a traditional style . Whereas this kitchen has 'Frosty Carrina' caesarstone. We have 'Almond Rocca' caesarstone in our bathrooms which is quite yellow - warm. And we have 'Nougat' in our kitchen which is fresh and clean and white. I personally prefer a clean look in my kitchen. What are you drawn to? Regards Jacqueline...See MoreHelp with benchtop colour choice for all white kitchen
Comments (17)Bluemeeru, yes sink is on left next to dishwasher, which is next to the fridge. I never wanted a sink on the island for the same reason. Water splashes and there will always be something drying on the island. I like the option of having a totally clear island if I need it. Yes, I was worried the sink was too far from the cooktop but it works well for me. I did consider putting a narrow sink near the cooktop just in case I needed water during cooking but left it out in the end. The distance from my sink to the edge of the island is 1.5m. Dishes get taken out of the dishwasher and are put away in the drawers in the island nearest to dishwasher side, as my island is 3m wide. From there it is easy to take them out over the island to the dining table or serve the kids who sit on the island for breakfast. It’s 3.8m from sink to centre of cooktop, which could be considered quite far. I suppose I have gotten used the distance....See MoreTwo toned kitchen problem
Comments (6)I would on the contrary suggest that you go around and look for a new fridge that fits the available space, rather than a partial renovation to fit existing or a larger fridge. Seriously, this has happened before and afterwards people said, they should have just got a fridge that fits....See MoreTwo tone kitchen
Comments (2)I think either can work. Dark benchtops can give a more dramatic look....See MoreJodes
