Hi All, I've ordered a free standing range for my new kitchen, and the installation guide "recommends" a 10mm air gap between the range and cabinets. 10mm is the perfect space for grime and insects while being difficult to clean, hence my questions: is it required? can it be covered up? could it be padded with some kind of non-combustible insulation? any other ideas?
