Hello. All ideas practical and an appliance cupboard is a must if you had in your previous house as demonstrated by previous comments. Microwave and mixers all away. A sliding door to pantry easy solution. Even one with timber frame (raw or painted depending on your finishes) and opaque glass is great as well. Not compromising on island bench is good. It is best to have drawers on both sides. Depending on your seating or not you can also re configure drawer at end but also keeping in mind power points are a must with an island bench. If you are of average height wall ovens great but not always suitable for someone who is below average height. I have an island bench without a sink which works really well, drawers each side and 2 stools at one end for my needs. The rubbish/recycle bin is a pull out dedicated drawer which is also practical. Sink and stove at the back. Make sure you get a good cabinet maker as well and decide everything beforehand.

Dianna, I haven't read the other comments yet, but the first thing I would do is add a large rug in dark colour/s on your shiny tiles and a dark runner on your glass coffee table. The glossy tiles and your glass table are light reflective and those are things you want to temper in a theatre room. As far as what to hang on the walls, definitely some art. My first choice would be movie posters, framed in matte black and with non-reflective glass. That's what I have in mine. IF you don't plan to have another theatre room in your next abode, then some nice prints that you like. I would still frame them in matte black. Might be just me, but I don't think cushions really belong in a theatre room, u less they are large floor cushions, of course. A throw or two is always welcome, esp this time of year. Best wishes!

Hi, Hope this gives you some idea of what the interiors will look like soon. Current sofa and table in the main living room. Plus new fan. The carpet will be going. Timber floor will go in its place I have chosen Symphony Grey benchtop for the kitchen and white Matt satin touch close cabinets. Mood board attached is the rumpus room. Large floor rugs definitely 3 x 4 m in both rooms, coffee table with glass top timber base like Noguchi style, large pot plant on mid century stand in the corner of the living room and classy mirrors on the walls check out Shine mirrors site . Mirrors like rugs can never be to big just make sure they are simple in design.
