I love the aqua blue and browns you have for this room. Given your furnishings, they have a mid century modern style which you could capitalize on. (see the bedside table in this image is like yours)You can easily create a base of browns and a cream or patterned rug and then find some bedlinens in the cyan/aqua colourhttps://www.houzz.com/products/organic-ironwork-duvet-cover-prvw-vr~501905 and then find a fabric that matches your duvet cover to cover the chair...It would be nice if you could either spray paint the bed (which I think is black metal) a silver metallic colour to lessen a harsh line. I would also remove the shiny sheer drape you have in front of the curtains. Why are they there? You seem to have venetian blinds as well.Can you hang the mirror up higher or is it part of the dresser? The base should be about 20cm from the top of the dresser to create some height to the room. I would also lower or even remove the painting in the room as it is too high...For the other furniture, I would rather work on some simple basics and then we can adjust them around. I think your bed is in the only place it can be....

I would Get inspiration from the elements in the rooM that won't be changed, like the carpet. The gunmetal grey sounds nice and gender neutral. For guests, short stays should feel friendly, and have you want to return, I would think hotel and personalize it. I would use a warm grey that will allow for many linen changes, and create a Moody atmosphere by night. BecUse the focus is either the window/ light it can afford the depth of colour. Try dulux exposed elements. If possible position the bed opposite the wardrobe so you can install a tv in it etc create An entertainment hub and still keep the window for view. Floor to ceiling sheer curtains will help the space feel bigger as you seem to have tall things on 2 walls. Good luck. ML Design

Hi, Love the artwork. Because they're so small, how about putting them vertically, side by side on the wall where the bookcase is. I'd either take out the bookcase, or paint it white. If space is an issue in the room, you could maybe replace the bookcase with a small ottoman/ pouf in a textured plain fabric. This gives guests a place to lay their clothes at night or to set an overnight bag. You could consider a LARGE, maybe hectagonal grey framed mirror over the bed to echo the lines in the bedding. The bedding has a lot of pattern and a mirror may be all you need. Most of all, don't rush. Take your time and enjoy the process.

Thankyou so much for your ideas and the pictures. I really like the style of the first photo and while we aren't quite that luxe or extravagant, it was a picture like this that first inspired my initial ideas of a gold (type) feature wall. Unfortunately, it appears metallics are harder to source and even harder to DIY. I was informed I would probably neeed to pay a professional. We tossed around wallpaper but dismissed it quite early. Maybe i need to revisit it further. Thankyou again!
