Hi Eva. I am doing a reno and also looking at the same thing! I have found the Cavalier Bremworth at Carpet Court and really like it. It has a texture which picks up the colors around it and it's softer against the wood and tiles than other carpets I've seen. The attached pic is the colour Legato which is a mid range colour, but there are darker browns or greys and a lighter one too I think. The pic doesn't do it justice, but it really is lovely and worth a look. Good luck!

What type of tiles goes with vanilla ice quarter

Vinyl planking needs a perfectly smooth subfloor or looks awful after a few months - learnt from experience! Even if it is laid on smooth concrete, just a small crack that forms in the concrete will show through after a while!

I'd say a charcoal -- you don't want anything too white or grey IMO , or it will be overpowering in an underwhelming way , and most other tones either clash or will look cold , or both .
