Ensuite bathroom shower screen help

Hi everyone. We have a very narrow ensuite that, with tiling in place,

is only 865mm wide. Our vanity is positioned near the shower (we couldn't move the plumbing), around 400mm away. We are choosing a shower screen. There used to be a sliding door shower screen set up (original bathroom from the late 60s) but we were really hoping for a pivot door with the pivot patch placed 300mm from the left wall. This means that the door would meet the vanity, but it would almost be opened at its widest at that point. The vanity is 330mm at its deepest (it has a semi-recessed sink). Would we be better off placing the pivot patch for the shower door at 330mm from the left wall so the door can open to a 90degree angle, even if the opening will only be 535? We've been told that the minimum width (Australia) is 500mm. We MUST have a shower screen because the light switch is on the right wall (there is enough room for door to swing out). Thanks for your help!
