Help! Cedar weatherboard house update
Comments (80)Here is the old house..lower cedar undergoing clean and is now all oiled. Window trims on right painted in dune. Ok. So had heart attack yesterday. Roof painter came out. I am at work. He and my son decided to ‘colormatch’ my already woodland grey painted posts and decide ....yes it’s armour grey....I had told both days earlier woodland grey...now have an armour grey roof which is same as windspray...don’t know whether to laugh or cry..more cry actually. Heart was set on woodland grey and dune trims. But I did really like your windspray..so confused now what to do....any help would be appreciated....See MoreExterior colours for weatherboard house
Comments (4)Silkwort looks quite ok. Will work with surfmist I think. Scyon Linea gives a nice shadow line too. Wallaby is quite blue grey. I'm surprised how blue it is actually. It is not as dark as Woodland Grey, Basalt, etc., will get warmer than Surfmist but depends on where in Qld you are. Why not a Surfmist roof?...See MoreBlock weatherboard

I’d suggest though painting a large swatch on the boards before ordering your paint colours and viewing the colours over at least a couple of days, at different times. Maybe even put some paint on each NSEW aspect. Recommending this as one of the colours we’d initially chosen was much paler irl and one threw a bit more green than blue. I love surfmist, we have it on our gutters, but just check that the sun shining on it won’t reflect directly onto traffic if the roads about you are sloping or raised....See MoreMB Design & Drafting
