How did you choose your Real Estate Agent?
Comments (8)Choosing a real estate agent can be a difficult undertaking. Several elements played a vital influence in my decision-making process when I was choosing mine. First and foremost, trust was essential. I sought out an agent with a strong market reputation, one with a track record of successful transactions and great customer feedback. It provided me with an opportunity to assess their professionalism, communication style, and general approach. By the way, has anyone ever worked for COBALT CORPORATION PTY LTD? I've heard good things about their commitment to clients and real estate market expertise, but I'd love to hear your own experiences or observations....See MoreHow have you dressed your bedroom windows?
Comments (4)The master bedroom in my previous home faced north. Floor to ceiling window getting full sun during the day, and a street light directly outside at night. So, an exterior shutter, internal blind and curtains allowed light and heat control for various times of day and season. The master bedroom in my current home also faces north with a floor to ceiling window, but no street light. On full moon nights though, it shines right in. Once again an external blind controls light and heat, and interior blind and curtain gives me options for different times of day and season, eg. we love the sun coming in during winter, but not summer....See MoreHow has your mother's interior style influenced you?
Comments (8)My darling mother never had money for "decorating" and I can't remember anything new as all belongings were made up of a collection of cast off, second hand and recycled bits and pieces that she scrubbed and polished, repainted and recovered but it looked and felt warm and inviting and the house and garden were always full of flowers. Her pride and joy was the Moroccan tile inspired splashback that she made out of some old wrapping paper, carefuly cut to fit and varnished to make it waterproof...meant to last only 'til she saved up for real tiles it was the starting point for the colours of paint and curtains and cushions and rugs and was only reluctantly replaced years later when the paper finally disintegrated but, nothing ever looked or felt so perfect...many more years later i think of her when I have to decide between a loved old piece of junk and having the option to choose something new and i'm afraid the scruffy usually wins...See MoreWho's the boss: How do you negotiate stylistic differences?
Comments (9)Re interior design we clashed from the beginning - often still do! I like colour, filled walls, vibrant rugs - think Mexico. He professes to like the minimalistic approach (his illusion. His office and bedside table - an unmitigated mess). He tells people we have a 'mixed marriage not without it's tensions.' However we've mainly reached a compromise now with bits of dash and colour and bits of neutral space. I give in more and more now and only dig in when it really matters to me. Oddly he's now started saying, 'that looks nice ...'...See Moresamson108
