Stone bench too advice
Comments (9)We are great thank you. Once you choose your stone, it will narrow down your colour options. Often stone will have a fleck of another colour through it, which you could match. You could pick two different shades of the same colour, or mix it up by using a bold colour and pairing it back with a more subdue colour. You could also mix textures. Depends what you like and what feel you are going for....See MorePendant lights above kitchen island bench... Advice!!
Comments (8)thanks so much. I want to draw the attention to the champagne candy pendants and to be the feature behind the dull brown overheads. I'm thinking it's ok to mix metals. I forgot to add the canopy rangehood which will be installed behind the pendants. I hope it won't clash! My stainless steel kitchen appliances are yet to be installed....See MoreShower bench tile
Comments (15)I'd replace and go with the diagonal pattern also, despite the cost (you've got to look at it for a long time yet presumably). I think the existing look comes undone because the tiles on the bench laid as they are appear to add yet another design element to the area and actually make a feature of the bench itself. I personally wouldn't want to make a statement piece of the bench itself. If the tiles were laid diagonally, I think the bench would flow seamlessly from the wall into the floor. Similarly, if you highlighted the edge of the bench with the "decorative strip" tile, I think the bench again becomes the feature piece. Lovely roomy shower enclosure though, nice job....See MoreHelp! Need advice on timber bench choice
Comments (8)Hi jh13, I don't know what you are using for your cabinet faces or your other bench tops, or how you need your island bench top to perform to give a fully considered reply, however based on your just your question, I would suggest using Blackbutt tops or if you want lots of this "rustic" effect, then you may also like to consider as an option. Hope this helps, Malcolm....See MoreKate
