Hello Fianou, Congratulations on your charming home. I think it has so much potential. I love the idea of teal, it is fresh and welcoming. I was thinking to give the home some street appeal and to also make it extremely functional. I would see if you could afford to put a wonderful wooden deck out the front, and then I would have window shutters painted teal placed on either side of the windows to give it street appeal, if you could afford to paint the brick I would paint it in a happier white tone with the blue accessory trim on the shutters on each window and also on the roof trim to tie it all in. On the deck I would have flower boxes painted in the same teal colour or whatever colour you choose to link in the whole story. I can see it can be so sweet and charming and a real place to call home. The timber fence at the side would also link in with the decking at the front. I have a book on feng shui for the southern hemisphere... But before I share a few things that you might find helpful from it, a word on superstition. Feng shui is not superstition or a religion, its a science and a method of designing. its a different way of understanding something. It uses a different language to explain what is happening because it is a lot older than the science we know, but it is a science in that it uses tried principles applied with a methodology. If you can look past the difference in language and the 'foreignness' of it all you will see some things that are just common sense. Its about creating good flow between room, avoiding unhealthy living arrangements, having clean fresh air, light and a feeling of balance and peace in the home. It avoids having areas of stale air and stagnation ( ie bad air quality). Its about good design. It is not hard to understand why having a home that is too open to a busy street will not be the best thing. Its good your front door is at an angle and your path turns... but having some plants to buffer the bend in the path and protect your front door will help. You want the energy to meander along the path, not gust in from the street at the bend. Its similar to how water moves... if it meanders gently along a curve it will be slow and gently, create long straight channels and it will speed up. Long hallways are to be avoided because they tunnel wind and air and energy along them... but you can put plants along them to slow the wind and freshen the air. It will create a meandering path down your hallway. I hope that helps! A house with good feng shui just feels right to be in and people enjoy the space without really knowing why.

I would avoid grey tsunami too and I love the colour of the red bricks which I would focus on highlighting instead. I would take out the dull dark green bushes in front of the wall and plant a 'Starburst' Honey Locust which has brighter, lacey, yellow-green leaves. This variety is very user friendly as it grows quickly, leaves decompose quickly and it is very 'dry' tolerant once established. Your brickwork looks like an orange-based red rather than a blue-based one while the garage door and guttering looks blue-based which is why the clash from the street perhaps. I would paint those and the wood fence instead of the brick.

Cream always looks good with green, maintain the same green for windows & door. Having said that you can choose any colour by repainting the gutters & fascia etc. Get lots of colour swatches & hold them up to the roof (from a distance) to see what looks best to you. Then get some sample pots & paint so you get the proper effect of the end result. Look around at other painted homes & magazines etc, to get an idea of what you really like.
