Please help with layout for Master WIR & Ensuite
Comments (27)the shower room is about 2700 long and wet shower floor about 1500 so dry standing space should be about 1200 and towel rail about 2.5m away from the shower head so heated towel rail shouldn't be a problem ...the sliding glass door is meant to enclose all the moisture within the shower room and to be kept away from all the other rooms while still allowing light from the skylight to be shared with the adjoining rooms by retaining the slope in the existing ceilings and adding a ventilating skylight directly above the shower and adding fixed panes of glass in the wall between the shower space and the other small rooms and having just the 2200- 2400 tall partition behind the bed and between the ens and wiw...the wardrobes could still have the storage built up to 2400 and the dust can just stay where it lands and sparkle in all that lovely light...sadly, i have two perfectly sized Velux roof windows awaiting a new home but transport costs could far outweigh the cost of buying local but i've occasionaly seen them offered on Gumtree etc so start looking...See MoreHelp with layout for master/parents' retreat
Comments (14)This is the top level of a house that does not exist yet. While looking at the floor plan, we are assuming up is north and down is south, then the sunrises at south-east and sets at north-west. But my views are to the south, which is why I prefer a balcony to the south. Note: the balcony must be inside the footprint of this floor plan not outside of it. Thanks guys...See MoreMaster bedroom + Ensuite - Brain storming ideas HELP
Comments (24)We intend to stay in our master upstairs for sometime and move down when we feel comfortable OR move them both into the guest bedroom which is opposite the new master. We originally had our master suite upstairs with the boys room down stairs, however we think it's safer this way when they are younger. The 1st floor will be their domain, with their own kitchenette, bathroom, study, living and deck... so they will never have to leave home 😉 I think I have drawn up 300 different options 🤦♀️ Does your huaband and his Identicial twin have an amazing bond? My Boys are identical and its incredible to watch how intuitive they are....See MoreMaster Ensuite layout Option 1 or 2 - HELP PLEASE
Comments (11)Another thought with a large picture window to the view from the bath. I think the powder room will be your husbands choice over the loo in the ensuite. A couple of other thoughts if you haven't already built. I would change the entrance to the Media and in particular not have it directly opposite the doorway into the powder room, I also don't think it necessary to have a another door within te powder room. I have played with the access into the kitchen making it more open and also allowing for a simpler access to the pantry, you could even swing the fridge sideways so that it faces and opens into the pantry space The Laundry, family bath and porch changes so that coming in off the property gives easy access to both spaces, just my thoughts...See Moresiriuskey
