Need help with splash back tiles or glass and what colour??
Comments (5)I think cherry glass would cheapen it. Have you considered a mirror glass, don't know if I would like to maintain it but others here swear by it. Tiles like Earp Bros suggested look good. I also like the glass mosaics but they might be a bit blingy for your room. I went back to laminate for my new kitchen and I really don't think you can beat it - it just looks so clean and uncluttered, and better still, it doesn't break the bank. Comments (70)Awesome!! Actually macymacmaples, the mirror will date more than the white glass. My cupboards will be white handleless polyurethane...and I'm gonna choose Ceasartsone Calacatta Nuvo as my benchtops :) hagan - My painter (which is my cousin) lol, also wants me to do vivid white ceilings..but I'm thinking of just keeping it the same and doing Natural white ceilings too as I don't like contrast...I prefer it to all blend....Dunno yet tho, will keep u updated ;)...See MoreKitchen splash back - subway tile grout
Comments (6)I think a dark grey grout would look great, the wider the gap the more the tiles stand out, if it wouldn't cost too much and you had some spare tiles you could do a mock up on a piece of board , sometimes the only way to really gauge things is to actually see it...See MoreCeasarstone or glass splash back?
Comments (5)The gloss Ceaserstones are durable, workable kitchen surfaces, but like any kitchen benchtop they are not indestructable, and still need to be cleaned. Usually a quick daily wipe down with a damp cloth is enough, but don't let spilt red wine sit around too long as it will stain. I can't vouch for the Raw Concrete and Cloudburst Concrete as I would not recommend them to a client. They are currently too fashionable and will date. A more classic look is better long term value when you consider that most new kitchens are around for fifteen to twenty years. The plainer the pattern the more obvious it is that it will need cleaning. Benchtops with a stronger pattern, such as Atlantic Salt are better at disguising mess, but still need to be cleaned. It is your money and your kitchen and if you are unhappy with your architect suggesting a product you need to let them know that you want something more practical. It sounds like you have done your research on Raw Concrete and Cloudburst Concrete, and they haven't! If you really want a concrete look benchtop then checkout the GFRC benchtops made by Slab Culture. https://www.slabculture.com.au/ Best of luck Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls...See Moredreamer
