1920s Traditional Family Home Turned Old Hollywood Glamour

The living room in this traditional 1920's home is very long and our clients wanted to improve both the functionality and the look of this room. We did this by adding furniture, a chair and ottoman which were reupholstered and new cushions and accessories that included lots of texture and depth. The existing sun mirror was re-used as it fitted in well with the glamourous look of some of the new pieces.
Swivel chairs have been used in the center of the room to provide seating that can be utilised in both ends of the room, the chairs are also low -backed so that you can see through to the view outside. We added some fun elements to the room with the solid acrylic "face" side table from Jonathan Adler and the burst of blue in the interior of the antique mirrored cabinets.
A series of rounded shapes and forms have been used in this room to accent the shape of the circular bay window and offset the long rectangular shape of the overall room.
The space is now, not only so much more luxurious but still providing practicality for the everyday lives of this busy family.
