I love the colour of the wall paint if you know what it is?

Hello, I really like the wall colour of the Scandinavian Bedroom - White House. Could you tell me what the colour and brand of paint is of possible?

Sure, it's Haymes Organic 2

A beautiful darker creamy white, we painted the ceiling, skirting and walls the same colour and looks great.

Thanks so much. I have been looking at using Haymes Organic 1 so no surprise I was drawn to this one also. Have you used Organic 1 also and just wondering would you describe it as a bit yellow/cream?

Lovely print. I had a peacock feather print and I had a colour called glacier Grey behind. Think it was Wattyl . Again like your other walls it is a greenish grey but darker. I also had my prints on a charcoal wall..loved that too. As you said the picture ties in with the chairs and now it's not necessary to add more matching colours. I'd buy a couple of sample pots and paint large pieces of cardboard. With the other walls I would consider painting them in whisper white (Dulux) a very universal colour that ties in nicely with all colours.

Hi Maria, we love the wood but it is a little overwhelming in that space with the timber floor. A liming white is a great idea as mentioned by a few people here. This will let you have the best of both worlds, a lighter, brighter finish while still allowing the wood grain to show through. You could try Feast Watson Liming White Floor Finish (yes, it's not a floor but it has the size of a floor!) and build up the number of coats until you are happy with the amount of timber grain showing through. You'll probably need to give it a light sand first as it's most likely already got some type of coating on it. The other option would be to leave the walls as is and consider a large, light neutral coloured rug as pompom suggested on the timber floor and perhaps a good sized piece of art on the wall or white wall shelving instead of the dark side unit you have to reduce the amount of timber in the room.

Hey Dounia The colour and the way it has been painted is very much what we saw in the late 90's and early 2000's when we all went through the textured paint feature wall craze. But, saying that Paint and design technology have come a long way since then and I would encourage you not to give up on the copper idea and use a modern approach and product. Dulux have recently added their new range of Design Effects, Here's the copper and concrete look. There's also other options available at www.dulux.com.au. You can email them for a copy of their brochure or they are readily available at Bunnings in the paint section. Thanks Paul

Yes, I was hoping that they would post photo on here, as they have a lot of beautiful bathrooms on this site, but it is a recent one, so they havent posted yet and I think they will be closed over this period, when a lot of sales are on...I have sold my car yesterday and so now have the funds to finally get my bathroom reno progressed...yay!

Hi Catherine,

Yes we have, if you look in our photo albums The Breeze Block House we used Organic 1. We are just painting another house now in Organic 1, it's quiet a bit lighter than 2 but still creamy... a crisper creamy if that makes sense. I love organic 2 , it is very creamy more creamy beige than yellow, it works really well with earthy colours but is a very dark cream so if you're worries Organic 1 is a safer bet :)

Yes, we always use the same colour for walls, ceilings, skirting, archs and doors when painting white :)
