Linda, I think that the mirrors should be hung vertically (portrait) rather than horizontally (landscape) as in your two photos. I always like to hang mirrors opposite a window to reflect a glimpse of the view outside. Or at right angles to an adjacent window to reflect light and views.

These mirrors aren't suitable for wet areas such as bathrooms due to the metal and possible rust.

thanks Dr Retro. Yes I was going to hang them vertically but did t know which colour to go or where. I haven’t purchased them yet. But apparently the backing are clips only so if wrong colour I can always paint.

On another thought, If you hang the mirrors on the blank wall they will give a view when coming into the dining of the kitchen and visa versa. You could also look at lowering the art over the lounge by about half of the existing gap

oh that art over lounge is old & need to replace bc sick of looking at it.

also can’t change placement of the clock as there is a bracket & dont want to patch & paint the wall. The other wall in dining room will only reflect another wall so not sure but im going to buy them first and play around with them as I’m a visual person.

also what colour would you recommend I go?

ideally I would love to change my curtainS but can’t afford to do so. & my rug but I have an old fur baby who at times has accidents so going to wait on that for now. Was thinking of painting my antique tv unit & table white; what do you think?? Btw... chairs are brown not black.
