How can we improve the street appeal of our home?
Comments (1)I think timber paneled garage door to match your front and balcony door would look great. You could even clad the gabled portion above the balcony in timber also. Windows done in black(??) Another window or glass doors put in above garage would improve symmetry. If that's not an option, maybe some sort of false window or doors? I don't even know how that would be done exactly, but if glass has a bit of reflective tint and is also framed black, it would fool the eye. For colour schemes, I suggest browsing through facade schemes on new home websites until you find something that grabs you....See MoreStreet appeal
Comments (40)Congratulations Mark! I really like the drawings that you did up with the new door and deck at the front. It makes a huge difference to the house. I think the all grass look at the front is a bit much. It would benefit from some sort of pathway to the deck, but I don't have the imagination of the other Houzzers, but I love what you have done so far....See MoreHelp. Looking for advice on how to update my facade and street appeal.
Comments (4)Hello, depending on the colour schemes you like. I suggest spraying the roof (probably charcoal colour) painting the gutters and fascists to match. Paint the bricks a light to medium colour. Windows and boards in white/light to contrast. As a neutral beige time selection I would recommend the following (without the fan deck in front on me). Roof, gutters & fascias - Colorbond Woodland Grey Bricks - darker then Dulux Beige Royal (Linseed is probably a little green but the right depth of colour) Windows & boards - Dulux Beige Royal half Keep the roof line as it is, the colour change will be amazing....See MoreUpdate Façade / Street Appeal
Comments (10)From the look of the under whelming front Stairs the house looks about 450mm (3 steps) or so off the the ground. So could make more of a presence redo the front door entry / stairs quite cheaply with a timber deck that starts at the front door wraps around the each side if the house a bit, then flows down onto the entry path and terraces down the sides. Along with the other suggestion of painting the front door a brighter colour would create character lift the entry nicely. Does the front of the house face north or If your budget allowed a narrow deck say 1.2m (with pergola) along the entire front would transform the place entirely....See MoreMB Design & Drafting
