Can we have a photo from window looking in. I don’t like couch or chaise across window, looks like the chaise should go or maybe the a4m chair unless you can extend the space

To my mind one of those major pieces of furniture has to go. There is simply too many pieces in that space. I would be inclined to remove the chaise out of that space to make better use of it and possibly the desk also. In every photo you have a large piece of furniture blocking access and making the room look over-furnished.

I'm also in agreement that the rug isn't fabulous and the room would look better and more contemporary with a plain coloured textured rug. Flokati's in natural are a lovely rug and reasonably inexpensive. They are also quite easy to have laundered as they aren't stiff but rather foldable like a blanket. But any textured rug would be great.

Move the furniture in away from the walls and stop blocking access with it.
Look a photos in Houzz of nice sitting rooms and see how furniture is usually arranged around a rug.
I would avoid a shag rug and get a nice neutral with a slight texture.
The chaise looks too bedroomy to go with other furniture. If the room is big enough it could be placed on its own somewhere.

I agree with what others have said but also part of the problem is that you have subtle muted tones next to some bright colours and the combination is a bit jarrimg. If you stick with subtle tones and the chaise goes, your existing rug may work ok without the patterned bit in the middle.

I agree removing the chaise would open up area and not block the windows, toning down your colours would add a serene look to your room and compliment your artwork, try a light coloured textured rug, some gorgeous cushions and throw, swap ottoman for a natural colour this could then also be used as a small table, would really soften the room and give a beautiful look.

I also decided to redorate my room. I bought new furniture and weighed blanket after navigate here which is perfect for hot sleepers. Plus it helped me a lot to fight with stress and insomnia.

You can also place a table clock which will look good. You can also add the centre table.

The rug has to go, the chaise has to go somewhere else, make the chesterfield a focal point as it is gorgeous and add another of those tub chairs to give more seating once you remove the chaise. The room has to be if not symmetrical then weighted evenly. What I mean by that is if you have the couch on one side, it should be weighted evenly on the other side by something. Put the couch opposite the desk and chairs. Have some chairs facing the window because it looks too beautiful to ignore.
