Hi evas1, We are loving teal at the moment too! However once you find another colour, you will want to switch up the paint. This is why we are suggesting you go neutral with the walls (Dulux White exchange half) and accessorising with colour- making it interchangeable as seasons/trends go by. Check out how we style teal and blue! Throws, cushions, velvet bedheads, pillows, bedside lamps, artwork & ottomans are a great way to pack colour into the room.

Well, I'll be 1st to comment(might get ball rolling for ya!). I'm a painter, 35 yrs. Is the Dulux sw1e1? Wish you had pics of swaths side by side. But that's ok. Imo, they're both going to be just fine. I very highly doubt you would go wrong either way, you'd have no regrets. After all these years I know that white, in just about any shade, is going to work with just about any furniture. Except maybe white furniture! I'd have to see the furniture to give more detailed opinion though. If were me, I would want the floor to be dark(ish) though, not light(ish). Try to slap a few pics of some of your stuff on here and maybe you will get some better opinions than mine! And more detailed as well. Either way, I know you're fine with either of the 2 paints. Imho, of course!

I would love to see some photos of the house, interior and exterior. Where are you located and are there plenty of windows? Do you know what timber the floorboards are? If there is lots of direct sunlight onto the floorboards, this will reclect colour onto the walls so choosing the right "white" will be important. Did you want the one colour to go through the entire house? Are you wanting to keep the feel of the high ceilings or would you prefer to have them feel lower in some rooms? Regards, Bronwyn

Hi Louise, I did a little mock up for you. I would look at using some more greys and whites and brightening up the room. I mimicked your lamp and just "sprayed it gold" and changed the shade colours to draw your eye up to the artwork. I liked the bedding so played off that a little and added more textures and I love black, white, grey together, super chic and glam. It's amazing what a lick of paint can do. You would need to get permission to do anything to the woodwork, if you're a tenant its maybe best to leave it as is. I dont know what colours the other walls are but if theyre neutral enough you could leave them as is. Hope you like my attempt and happy to answer any q's.
