Yes. Axolotl are amazing! I have sourced a company in Melbourne who pretty much do the same thing. It's Metalcote in Cheltenham. The bronze/graphite sample I have attached to this post is from there. It's liquid metal. Axolotl are in Sydney and the cost of transporting door to and from there, plus cost of coating, is way expensive. Coating alone, minus cost of door, is around $2500+/- I figure for the same product I won't have to pay for return delivery of a heavy door

if the door is solid wood (you can usually tell because it will be very heavy) and the putty and or timber mouldings supporting the glass is carefully repaired and the hinges and door handles are replaces and sealed all around and the door is painted on all SIX sides with a good quality paint/varnish it should be OK but no door will withstand the full blast of hot sun and rain so hope there is a porch or wide eaves for protection...a light weight hollow door will probably only last long enough to save up for a new door, so hope the retro door works for you...btw make sure the door is resized and installed to suit all the extra coats of paint and have the security door made last as old style door thicknesses can affect the installation requirements and costs of the security door

I’ve also seen similar doors in Bunnings and at the local door and window supplier (you’ll have one and may need to go seen them, often they have a low internet presence). The current front door doesn’t work with the house even with plain glass. The inspiration fence doesn’t suit your house either. Use plain wood (sometimes called blanks). May even be cheaper and definitely go the darker colour. It will look great with your garden plans. If you have the room set the fence back a bit so you can plant in front. It softens the look particularly for large runs of fencing and protects your paint from the bike handles/shopping bags of passing traffic. Given your situation I’d be asking council for permission to have sections of the fence at 1.8m at the “sides”, then having 1.5m along the front.
