Kitchen Mixer Tap
Comments (6)Hi Sarah Smith, I had a look on the Bunnings site and I thought this tap would look great with your sink. It has the retractable component you're looking for and I thought had the same sort of style but not knowing what the rest of your kitchen looks like it's just a thought. I have a pull out tap for my kitchen sink and I find it really handy. In regards to retractable taps having to be replaced this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". I'd love to see what you choose in the end and a pic of the whole space when it's done. http://www.bunnings.com.au/dorf-wels-4-star-7-5l-min-krysten-chrome-pull-out-sink-mixer_p5000823#.VTgr6op6imo.mailto...See MorePlacement of vessel bowls
Comments (17)Forget how it looks! Put both people who will use the basins in front of the cupboard, and pretend to use the basins and/or other appliances at the same time. Room for someone to shave, while someone else uses a hairdryer or straightener? You are having two basins so two people can use the bench at the same time - so find out what spacing works from a practical point of view. One more thing - if guests will use this bathroom, think about adding a small towel ring near the basins (so, on one of the side walls), so there can be a handtowel for guests to use (one of my pet peeves with modern bathrooms!)....See MoreWhat should I do with my mismatched bathroom tapware and door handles?
Comments (9)Personally I would always go for a consistent style throughout the house if at all possible. Expensive if you have to make a lot of changes to achieve it. I guess it comes down to how much it bothers you....See MoreToo many doors at the entrance?
Comments (10)Hi All, Apologies for being slow, I haven't been near a computer all day! @annb1997 good idea! I will make sure the lighting/powered is covered in that area! Yes we will entertain both in the bacykard and in the sun court, we plan on making sure there is seating in both, but the bbq will only go to one spot, haven't decided which one, thinking backyard as it is closest to kitchen now @Dr Retro House Calls your comment regarding the double doors into the bedroom made me laugh! and we will reconsider that, I totally agree that it is very rare that we will use both doors, I may consider getting rid of them! :) I put them in because I wanted a grand entrance into the house but we decided not to do a double door entry as double doors are apparently easy to kick in and thus break into the house! @oklouise, yes I'm wondering the same thing re entering cloak room! I will have to put it into some kinda software to see how I feel @dreamer, @oklouise, @siriuskey- I should have posted the picture of the changes we were going to do! see below. @siriuskey you read my mind! :) Our backyard faces north, there will be windows along the entire rear of the house (full and half length based on if there are cupboards). In the Laundry/Pantry, there will be almost 10m's of base/full length/top cabinetry. This will provide more than enough storage for linen. On the Pantry side, open shelves against the internal wall of the pantry/laundry space (pantry I think will go on the living room side), on the Laundry Side I haven't decided what I will do with the internal side, some where to hang some clothes after ironing, and some ironing area, maybe also an area to dump school bags etc. I assume our future kids will dump it in the living room, and that is not far from the laundry so even if I have to clean it up, it won't be the end of the world! :) I have forgotten to draw in the doors to exit to the backyard from the laundry/pantry but they do exist in the Ikea model...See MoreMelissa L
