Moved into this mostly double/triple brick home about 8mths ago. Couple with 1 child, potentially another.
Massive rooms but would like to maximise the spaces.
Needs updating, especially the kitchen/ living and outdoor entertaining spaces.
Would also like to create 1/2 more rooms for another child/guests/another lounge room etc..
Offstreet parking for another car (expand garage?)
Happy to encroach on the backyard abit but still want to keep majority of it.
Our current room is the bedroom and retreat. Would like ensuite added whilst alse having bathroom for children upstairs.
Things to keep in mind:
Dining room is 'tacked on' so will need to be removed/rebuilt.
Ensuite has been done a bit cheaply, could remove.
The meals/laundry and the room above it is 1970s extension and is whetherboard so would probably be rebuilt to match and new build.
Due to orientation of house/2nd story/ground slope, half the grass in the backyard doesn't get sunlight in winter.
The entire deck gets light in summer but we'd like to maximise the light and views over rear creek etc
Do we rebuild dining room and/or add a room on top?
Reposition the front door?
Lot's of/too many options,
Thanks in advance.
