It would off been nice too have a few photos of the room from different angles as this would help with ideas on what wall would be best for the feature wall. To break up all that mirror you could use a spring loaded curtain rod and using a light weight fabric with either tabs or grommets for the rod to go through so that you can pull the fabric aside when you need to use the mirror or to get something out of the wardrobe. In the past when I use to rent, I use to fold up and take down the blinds and then used spring loaded curtain rods inside the window bay and place in light weight fabric nets or a nice shear fabric used in dressmaking to add some colour to the room. I am not a big fan of blinds I find them in personal and cold. Depending on your colour likes, you could use red through to orange. Red and yellow being a prime colour and as such orange is a companion colour made from the primaries and that's why they work so well together. Day lilies have bold red through to yellow so this could be a guide for that palette choice. Don't use black is too bold with yellow, but using mid to light ranged greys are good. Creams and whites will work look at the daffodil range for colour inspiration there. Always look at what colours can be made from yellow and a second primary colour as this will give you your shades to soften the primaries down. Yellow - Red = oranges Yellow - White = creams Yellow - Blue = greens By doing this I think you might find the colour combo that you will like, and it's not just the primaries that you can use look at the second primaries and see what goes with the yellow and try mixing it up a little. At the end of the day it's a bedroom so you don't want loud colours, you will want soft warm colours that help with calming but also romantic too. Depends on who is in your family and how you intend you use the spaces. Is the rumpus for grown ups or children to hang out. Adults may prefer a pool table and/or seating for watching sport or movies on a large screen. You have a designated alfresco area so assume you prefer casual entertaining outside and would have little requirement for formal dining? In the family dining area, TV on hall wall with L sectional on rumpus wall and dining table for everyday meals as designated. We use our 'lounge' for watching TV in the evenings as we are not daytime TV watchers but you may want to use it a retreat or had in mind a more formal setting. You have plenty of options to discuss with your family to work how best to configure the spaces that suits everyone. Good luck with pulling it all together.

I am thinking that you don't really need this as a sitting room as you already have a lounge, family room, and library. Can it be opened up into the entrance hall to provide a larger grand entrance? Could it house the piano instead of having it in the library? Could it be turned into a new entrance with the entrance door being shifted to the bay window and the old front entrance becoming a larger closet? I like Andy Pat's option of ditching the wall and just making the whole of the window area a window seat. This space really is just a large walkway and I don't feel that it will ever fulfil a need not already met in a couple of other spaces.

I would move couch away from wall and place lamp in between it and wall, I'd then move dining table a bit back towards wall. I'd put a table behind couch. I don't think you'd need a chair in corner of you did this. need Need photos of the right hand side of room to see if this works.
