Comments (4)You could have a shower curtain rather than a door if having an open shower is not practical (which it generally isn't in a small space). Do you have cavity walls? If so a toilet with an in wall cistern will help increase the available floor space. Also, do you need a vanity or could you make do with a pedestal basin and a shaving cabinet? If you have cavity walls the shaving cabinet may be able to be recessed into the wall....See MoreHelp with en-suite
Comments (34)Alright let's see if we can put this to bed. There's nothing at all wrong or amateurish with your home. Agree seeing photo it's arguably too much of a compromise nor cost effective to move/change the window considering outcomes. The solution here will come in the fit-out and how to balance that as best as possible within the constraints set. You can do it with a 1500 size bath option, 900x1200 shower. and it's essentially a tweak/fine-tune from the idea you had originally. (I shouldn't really do this but here you go/I'm feeling generous today ;) ) You run a ledge all the way around the back and end walls. Mirrored cabinets all along the end above the basin. This will feel massive and luxurious with the ledges/more dimension & interest. But you'd need a concealed in wall cistern. Any privacy concerns (in bathrooms) can be managed by combination blinds/furnishings - arguably much more flexible (and cheaper in this situation) than changing glazing to frosted glass. And then you still retain an outlook/light to your ensuite during the day etc... Good luck & Merry Christmas :) PD...See MoreMaster suite WIR floor plan help!
Comments (19)Hi Guys, lets see if I can help! It appears to me that bed two has no robe...if that is correct we can help here too. Redirect some of your existing robe from the far end ie 1200? to bed 2. Then put 900 of hanging or shelving across end external wall...when arranged with long, short hanging and shelving this will work with more robe space for you both. What length of robe you loose is made up for in shelving and hanging design to suit your needs. Build a wall, new bed head, not full height if you like or with some top glazing and put door right next to room/hall door. Actually on your left as you enter bedroom. This leaves bathroom untouched, faces bed to the windows therefore to the view, gives bed 2 a robe and all with no dead corners! I do hope this helps you. Comments (6)i would expect to spend at least $15,000 for a modest refinish of an existing bathroom so you will probably need to double that price to include the cost of installing the new plumbing assuming no surprises in a very difficult situation so, first check with the body corporate and then ask several plumbers for a quote for adding all the new pipes as they'll probably need to dig a channel in the concrete floor to connect the new toilet and maybe replace the old toilet and floor coverings and then you will need a carpenter and/or bricklayer to add or rearrange walls before considering the extra costs of waterproofing, electrical, tiles, shower, toilet, lighting, heating, vanity, taps, ventilation and towel rails etc but the dimensions on the plans are inconsistent so a plan with correct dimensions will help but you could also steal some space off the bigger bedroom to add wardrobes to the new master suite and i've included two possible options...See More- 4 years agolast modified: 4 years ago
