Penny the Raku is on our house & carport & we love it! Our house is timber (white) & hardies composite painted Raku along with the carport to the right. White Duck weatherboards (Dulux) & Windspray (Colorbond) roof, gutters, fascia & timber poles . Though we have no brick we do have a patio & gates in a rust colour along with Merbau stained timber decks which all seem to work together nicely.

Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. All the best, it's going to look great.

My only comment might be that monument is grey and a nice strong grey but Lexicon is blue based, so I'd look for a gray based white or builders white which apparently has very small touch of black in it albeit it is still white. I think this would keep the undertone matched. For instance, I love green and although I probably won't paint the interior of my home green, Whisper White has a slight green undertone, so even though it's still white, it has the colour tone that I like.

I think the red roof and teal trim suit the style of your house but do agree with the majority that the walls would look much better white. I also think that getting rid of the colonial finial and your dated screen doors as someone else suggested, would improve the look. No one has mentioned this but I do think that your terracotta tiled stairs are a jarring note. Don't know if anything can be done about this as I don't know if paving paint on tiles is successful. I think they would look better dark charcoal. Your garden edging would look better charcoal as well and this being concrete can be successfully painted with paving paint. Or will these gardens be ripped out to build the pool?
