Need help for my lounge for small house I'm about to move into
Comments (31)Even though that is a fairly small space you could put some decorative trellises just in front of the fence with some ever flowering vines on them. Install a paver patio between them and the windows you hope to transform into doors.. You could also have the wisteria trained onto a pergola that would create a little shade for the patio as well. Some beautiful potted specimens/flowers and a couple of attractive outdoor chairs and you would have created a beautiful "picture" to act as a focus to the room. Additionally you have extra space for entertaining. Obviously the reason the previous owner obscured the window was because there wasn't much to look at. By creating a "view," you change the dynamic of the room as well as getting the light you want. Actual light will brighten the room like no change of floor would....See MoreMoving house survival tips
Comments (19)Also if you're moving clothes that are on hangers use the very large and heavy garbage bags to transport them. Just open the bag and slip it up over the clothes from the bottom up the make a knot at the top around the hangers. You can get up to 10 pieces per bag (more or less), then once you're ready to move them just lift the bag off of the clothes rack, move to your car and when you get to the new place hang them on the new rack. All you would have to do is slide the bags off. Trust me I moved 2 months ago and it made moving what seemed like hundreds of clothing items so easy! Then you can can the bags for garbage. Now that's recycling!...See MoreRecently moved in (not keen on house colour)
Comments (8)In addition to legendaryflame, you could do add the red front door too !! would look really good. If you painted the house white I don't know about the red door, might be too stark , possibly a deep creme with the red roof and door would look good. Good luck, post what you do I'll be curious what you go with....See MoreIs it possible to have no set style to a house exterior & interior?
Comments (10)personally I like a home that has a similar style on the inside as the outside, it just makes sense to me. In the past I thought building extensions should be similar in style as to the original, however after reading (and commenting on) Houzz posts I am now coming round to the idea of a modern extension on an older building. But having a kitchen and bathroom in different styles, that might just be to your taste and that is fine - there is nothing wrong with a building reflecting the personality of the owner!...See MoreUser
