Hi Mirri, I think your bathroom has great bones and wouldn't go spending too much on changing things that are perfectly functional and look quite new already. Love the shutters, very hamptons! Definitely steer clear of changing tiles that can get expensive and messy. To get your Hampton's style I suggest looking at your lighting and mirror. Loving those oval mirrors and wall sconce lights or maybe a chandelier type light. Might also be able to change your vanity cupboard doors to something more detailed or shaker style to get some more Hampton vibe. If you want to make more of a statement...how about wallpaper? Perhaps not in around the shower, but in the toilet area you could easily add some wow. My suggestions on colour scheme is grey, beige, light blue, navy or light green. Alright let's see if we can put this to bed. There's nothing at all wrong or amateurish with your home. Agree seeing photo it's arguably too much of a compromise nor cost effective to move/change the window considering outcomes. The solution here will come in the fit-out and how to balance that as best as possible within the constraints set. You can do it with a 1500 size bath option, 900x1200 shower. and it's essentially a tweak/fine-tune from the idea you had originally. (I shouldn't really do this but here you go/I'm feeling generous today ;) ) You run a ledge all the way around the back and end walls. Mirrored cabinets all along the end above the basin. This will feel massive and luxurious with the ledges/more dimension & interest. But you'd need a concealed in wall cistern. Any privacy concerns (in bathrooms) can be managed by combination blinds/furnishings - arguably much more flexible (and cheaper in this situation) than changing glazing to frosted glass. And then you still retain an outlook/light to your ensuite during the day etc... Good luck & Merry Christmas :) PD

I know it would get more complicated and probably be more expensive , but basically you are trying to get too much in there IMO . Everything is a compromise , and in fact , even if you had say a garage with power and water on , and moved the laundry there , you are losing both an inside laundry and a bath , to get the luxury of an en-suite . Lose 2 things to gain 1 in my opinion , so unless your main focus is an ensuite at all costs , it doesn't make a lot of sense . Me , I'd either live with it as it is , or depending on rules , regulations , present construction ( brick , weatherboard , etc ) , boundaries , even whether raised or ground-level -- I'd look at adding on , even if its a step up from a lean to -- I know its a 90's sort of thing , but an ensuite attached from either Bed 1 or 2 would possibly make at least as much sense .
