Beautiful bath. If you love the taps and shower head then go for it. Again, it is your house and you have to look at them everyday so pick something you love and don't worry about anyone else :)

How long are you going to live in the house? If it is for quite a while and you like black tap ware (I do too) go ahead and enjoy. BTW, black is easier to clean than chrome. And then, when it comes time to sell and black has really dated, it would not cost a fortune to change a couple of taps and then you could sell the black ones on Ebay or Gumtree. And do you really think that someone who would love to buy your house would be put off by such easily replaceable items? Think not.

The brand is Sussex,,,made in Australia with 15 year warranty - Very good quality. Yes..they also come in black and gold...but I will be sticking with chrome :) Thanks all

We have just finished renovating two bathrooms and I was adamant I didn’t want shiny chrome. I insisted on Astra Walker’s brushed platinum tapware and fittings. Whilst it does look a bit gorgeous, I’m afraid it’s not worth the extra 25-30% we paid for it (shhhh, thank god my husband isn’t on Houzz!!). With all special finishes I find you need to be quite particular about wiping down the fittings otherwise they look grubby with water stains. Hindsight you marvelous thing, you’re always 20/20 aren’t you??!! I’ll be sticking to good quality chrome if we ever renovate again. Especially since you can get such a wide variety of styles that suit anything from a Victorian style bathroom to pure minimalism. Good luck.
