To go White Ovens.... or not

Hi all, I need help - new build... white under bench cupboards, white stone bench top; black textured overhead cupboards; smokey mirrored splash back.

I am slightly over trawling through so many black oven styles/brands - they are starting to all look the same. Would love thoughts from anyone either with design experience, or who has/had white appliances - thinking they would blend with white joinery and be a bit different?

Or too blah...

They will be fitted as 2 side by side underbench 60cm. Smeg pics attached. I live on the coast.

Thanks in advance. I think I have confused myself and like to do something a bit different - as long as in a years time it won't look 90s... I am choosing from pics below.

love my stacked white oven and microwave and have since seen a white cooktop that would have been good to have in a white benchtop..maybe next time..good luck with all your decisions

Hi Andrea - I can completely understand your dilemma! I clicked the black however the white one on closer inspection doesn't feel like a white "90s" oven so could work and would blend in. Without knowing more details it is hard to say :)

You could have one side of galley kitchen cabinets in a richer shade of white (I'll have to start looking at the choices) and the opposite side in a grey. Will you have overheads too? Then the subway tiles in a softer shade of grey than the grey lower cabinets. I'd love to see photo of door handles.

Hi Simone, oklouise has provided good advice. If it is of any further help, it is our expierience that most steam ovens are designed to vent within their own space and so yes they can generally be installed either in a tower or underbench and you should have no difficulty finding a steam oven for this purpose. But as oklouise points out, check with the manufacturer's specs to make sure you don't buy one that can't be installed underbench.
