Front porch dilemma

I have a dilemma with my front porch. My partner wants to deck the front extending it to where the roofline ends and making it all one level with the step leading to the front door. My issue is that if we were to raise the floor level on the side where our bench seat is currently it would look odd particularly as the ceiling is not very high. Would it look strange if we still lined it with timber decking but kept the two levels or should we raise the left hand side to make it all one level? Ps we intend to extend the deck so that it is in line with where the eaves end (ie approx half way into that concrete path that runs across entire front of house. Please help.

Have two levels of decking. One along the length of home, the other for porch/front door area.

If your budget is $200. Purchase concrete paving paint, in a light grey. Paint the porch and steps. You can do this yourself. Continue along the path as well. purchase a decent sized pot that is as tall as a third of your wall. Remove the little yellow pot. Pot up with a flowering plant, or palm. if your budget is $2000 same as above. Then, install a painted or stained timber pergola or covered pergola over the front porch. install a climbing frame on the right wall and plant a flowering climbing plant to trail over the pergola.

It's not a must do. I think that the current sconce is a little too ornate/federation style for your lovely house. (Is it thirties/forties era?). Noone else is going to much notice it though, it's black, not overly large and definitely not offensive. So if you hate it, then it's probably worth doing, otherwise I'd leave it. The alternatives you picked out would definitely be more true to your house. Maybe no. 3?

in a similar situation we installed a nib wall at right angles to the shower and added a wall mounted mirror doored medicine cabinet inside the nib wall so we had to open the door to look in the mirror but it worked perfectly and you could also consider a framed mirror hung from ceiling or wall mounted frames in front of the windows

I would go different again , and do the deck on one level , BUT go over the existing step , the 'terrace' and the footpath . I'd possibly do a built in seat along 'this' near end , and you'd step off the deck down onto the grass , or the path on the right hand side .

Brown is the traditional colour to paint your deck obviously , but looking at your colours ( I assume pic 1 was when it was rendered , pic 2 is the painting completed ? ) I'd be tempted to do the deck in a charcoal or even a darker silvery grey , AND the window sills in the grey too . Just my take .

A couple of points, be aware of your subfloor ventilation. You need to ensure if you cover them you need to do something to replace them or add some mechanical ventilation.
Are your planning on pulling up the concrete. If not then your deck will be higher than you think as you add the structural timber. I don’t mind having the area in front of the front door higher, it adds to the interest
