Comments (12)I'm not sure if your gutter is colorbond or not, but I'd be tempted to paint both the gutters and windows in a charcoal colour. The blinds would then tie in a bit more with the colour scheme and would leave you with all the advantages that awnings supply. I also think, if your budget allows it, that getting rid of the concrete edging, pathway and patio would help a lot. Replacing them with pavers would certainly give it a fresher look as plain concrete is very dated now....See MoreZinc or Colorbond Roof?

Comments (20)I just googled & found this site, which quotes cost of R2.5 75mm. there are other suppliers as well. What was quoted to you for cost of roof installation, and was it itemised so you can see exactly what thickness the foil-backed insulation builder will use? I'm guessing the thinner (lower R factor). So, the new quote should reflect a credit for the cost of previous insulation, since it won't be used, then cost of thicker insulation added. Does that make sense? If you are unsure, best to speak with the builder. https://www.pricewiseinsulation.com.au/product/heavy-duty-fletcher-permastop/...See MoreClinker Brick - Stone Veneer!
Comments (5)Hi Rekiah, we investigated partial stone facades when we were building, and my advice is do not skimp on the quality and get someone experienced to install. This does mean it may not be as inexpensive as some other options, however. Aesthetics are such a personal thing. I, like CP, and as much as I like the look in general, would update other areas first. I’d also be very careful regarding the colour and maybe look at alternative patterning. Search in Houzz photos: red brick and stonework, filter for exteriors. I also found searching the house sale sites, extremely time consuming, but useful. Imports to compare oranges with oranges though, and not oranges with my ideal 🙂. Good luck and do let us know what you decided...See MorePatsy N
