The pros and cons will depend upon the tile itself - talk to your tile retailer that is stocking them about the ease of cleaning, and intended usage for the tiles as part of your due diligence for your renovation and remember to ask about grouting the tiles - epoxy grout is great for cleaning (super easy) but ask questions grout line sizes for the particular tile and budget. The only pro/con from a aesthetic point of view is that gloss reflects light readily while less glossy tiles don't.

Thanks Nicole!! We actually went for white grout too in the end, and stacked them (mid century modern house, we thought it fitted better overall). I agreed with you that I wanted the detail of the tile to shine, not the shape of the tile. We still need to paint the rest of the room, etc., but I'm pleased. We had them sealed and used a supposedly more stain resistant grout (Davco Colour Elite). We loved the designs so much we put the 150mm blue jeans version in our pantry!! Thanks again for your reply. It's a lovely tile! I'd go light-mid grey (basically like the picture!), if you go dark then it's pointless having the interesting hexagonal shape and the veins will look a bit odd stopping and starting, and if you go too light it will compete with the veins in the marble and look to busy.

haha! Go with your gut kaz :) I think some tilers can offer great suggestions - personally, I didn't have a very good experience with our last tiler so we ended up paying him for work done - only to have the job completed by someone else. The first tiler was very unprofessional, condescending, rude and belittled my hubby's choice of tile, grout, layout - you name it, everything. He was very moody, hot headed and showed up hungover and vomiting off our deck - UGH!!! Fifty shades of gross!!!! I didn't think it quite right that my young son and I should have to walk around on eggshells around him while my hubby was working away in Brisbane so in the end, he was paid - we said thanks and goodbye. To save any kerfuffle this end - we never told him what the issue was - just that something cropped up for us - we didn't need the drama. The tiler that finished the job for us was lovely, professional, competent and gave great suggestions :) Couldn't have asked for better. Hopefully that's not the feeling you're getting from your tiler - but if you have any red flags going up - go with someone else :) I'd love to see photos once the job is done :) Hopefully one of the pro's will come on here and offer their opinion kaz so you can be sure :)
