Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Which grey should we choose??

What are people's thoughts on which colour we should go for, for the outside gutters and trims for our house? Woodland grey is on the left post and momentum is on the right. This windows are surfmist. The garage doors are to the left and will be replaced so we think we will match whatever grey we choose.

What a beautiful tile! Rule of the tump - always match the grout to the tile. Specially with such a strong patterned tile, otherwise the grout also becomes a clashing pattern. I'd pick light grey to avoid pure white cleaning issues. I have these type of tiles in my patio, you will have to be seal them with penetrating sealer after installation, but other then that you will love them forever

Thank you so much, Julie. I thought you would be interested in the end result, given how much encouragement and advice you so generously gave me. :-) I do love it. It has made such a difference and I think (fingers crossed) the landscaping will give it the finishing touch. We are reroofing the pergola, so will post photos when that is completed. The gazebo looks great after its facelift, too.

Luckily, you have a great monochrome base to start with, so you can almost go wherever your imagination takes you! What colour is your roof , and what items of trim are you wanting to paint ?

Personally , I would have gone white or slightly off-white for those 2 uprights in your photo , so on that basis , maybe an English Cream or off-white on the gutters as I am guessing your roof is a gray variation , against the red brick tones .

When I look at woodland all I see is green. That is my hesitation. But the creams will be painted surfmist to match the windows so I wonder if monument is too much of a

Roof is red tiles.

I was thinking grey for everywhere there is green. And surfmist everywhere there is cream. The front fence is going eventually so not painting that.

Makes more sense to me now . And great to see a roof that isn't grey !

In the first pic you posted , I would have gone for the lighter grey , but seeing that whole picture , and the roof and garage door , I actually like the darker monument , MAYBE doing the garage door in woodland ( I see you want to change that , so you'd have to envisage how that would look too -- for example , 3 or 4 windows will lighten the look , so by going for the lighter woodland will highlight that , and the monument elsewhere would contrast that !

Oh , and hopefully you will paint or change the letterbox -- that purple tone doesn't do anyone any favours ! It would look smart in either of the greys , albeit a bit dated .

I have woodland Grey.at my place, but with cream windows . So if you are going surfmist I would go monument. But don’t stress both would be a great change to the green.

Thanks everyone. I had to bite the bullet and choose as the painter is starting tomorrow and wanted to know paint colour. Went with monument. I just couldn't get past the green tone in woodland grey. I haven't ordered the garage doors yet just in case I absolutely hate the monument after the painter is done (not that I will be paying for him to redo it anytime soon).

monument 100% for me (right). paint everything that is green in monument. and everything yellow to your light grey surfmist. paint the letterbox monument to. cheers
