I'm glad you think that about the pendant actually. I have been looking on line for an alternate but cannot find one I like. The wall paper was the first thing to go up when the house was bare and still had no set design :(.

Hi Andy, If you have a local Beacon Lighting, ask for advice. It's free and I have found the people most helpful in my area. Being a newbie and building for the first time, I sort of knew what I wanted but the advice I got helped me make the right decision. As for pendant lights, I have just one as a feature over the dining table, a trio and the rest of the house will still have downlights and of course fans in each room, so if you haven't already thought of fans, this will change exactly where you put your lights. Hi there, I think it's a great idea to introduce some feature lighting here. The chairs are making quite a statement against all the white and it would be lovely to balance that a little with lighting. As you have a lot of white and also rectilinear shapes, I'd lean towards organic shapes and materials for your lights. You could consider having more than one pendant light and create either a cluster, a row of 3, or else a long light. Here's some ideas.
