Hi,We are looking to extend our house. We are hoping to make it a 3x2 with a larger kitchen (possibly with a WIP) and larger bedrooms. Adding in an ensuite and WIR.Just after some ideas of how we can change the floor plan to accomodate.
How much money are you budgetting? $100K? $200K or more?
Design to your budget, not your dreams.
Best of luck,

Walk in storage is not space efficient so will add to your costs. And overkill for what is currently a small house with only one living space and limited storage. This house has only one proper size bedroom at present. Current bedroom recommendation is 3x3 plus robe.Do you want a bath? There are so many questions particularly budget as dr Retro says. The plan doesn’t have all the dimensions needed in the main space and entry. Can you add more detail

what is the width and length of the block, is there a garage or any other building on the block, what's the distance from the walls of the house (not the sides of the verandahs and alfresco) to each of all the four boundaries, what are the floors, walls and roof built out of? are the verandahs attached or under the original roof, what is the length of the living and entry space, can you post a google earth picture of the roof, where is north and describe your climate..
Pending answers to all the above questions, and budget. This is my suggestion.Changes in existing structure, then, adding an extension, create, kitchen and master suite.
Thanks for your comments. I agree with walk in storage not being space efficient and would settle with just adding extra storage/pantry space. Our budget is around 100k. The block is 25m wide, however, there is a driveway along one side and sewerage system on the other so extending out the sides isn’t possible. It is a steel framed house with rendered concrete sheeting, in a cold climate area. Here are some of the missing measurements.
Which side is the driveway?
How many people live here?
what space is there around the home to extend?
we need the distances from the house to all four fences to understand how an extension could be added..maybe front or back??..although you may not be able to build on the sides we still need to know the size of the whole space available and the other details requested or there can be no realistic suggestions
Rough sketch, go out through toilet onto deck for new master. Toilet goes into laundry
There is 8.4m out the back of the house to extend.
Okay, adapting my previous suggestion. Extension 8 metres.
What about converting living room to master with ensuite, then adding a new living room at the back of the current kitchen dining.
lots of excellent suggestions but without extra information it's difficult to be more specific but the most obvious option for enlarging the small bedrooms is to extend into the verandah but that depends on the roof and wall structure and using the old entertaining space is plenty of room for a master suite and family room but depends on existing walls floors and roof budget will probably mean restricting the extension
With your possible 100k budget I agree with Oklouise to extend bedrooms out and under the veranda.
Adding an extra bedroom.using some of the entrance space, would give you 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, the master would have a WIR and ensuite.
I would also push the kitchen out under part of the covered alfresco. Without any extra details and photos it's pretty much a guessing game as to what will give you what you want.
Out of interest what roofing does the rear large under cover space have cheers
