Lovely entrance...I would change the wall color, choose from the grey family to harmonise with the paving. Can the side window trim be changed to match the door, black or dark grey? Definitely change the planter, concrete planters are all the craze now. When choosing the planter, proportion is important, I'd go bigger about 3x the one you got . You will find that plants look better against darker walls, it makes the green pop. As the rest of the accessories and styling, I think the way to go is choose what you will love, it needs to tell your story. I'm a firm believer in picking your own stuff out even if it doesn't "match". It can be a little bench, mirror etc have fun with it Call it eclectic Good luck and keep us posted with what you have done

As everyone has suggested, the area is perfect for storage, hanging wet weather gear, umbrellas etc. The bench is perfect for changing shoes. You will have enough room for a large pot plant on the left and a colourful rug that could tie in with what you decide on for a seat. However I am a Capricorn and we are just too practical for words. I would consider myself very fortunate to have such an area.

Hi cher323 I new that once I put it there I think even with the size bench you have would still look small so I'm opting for a console table which is 180cm long and 79 cm high then I will also look at maybe a bigger mirror or artwork to go above console. it was mentioned that as I have a round mirror already in my entrance having another round mirror would be too similar so will just wait until console arrives to decide. If I replace mirror with artwork in entrance, then maybe bigger mirror over console could look good.

Hi Jessika, Ivy is the perfect choice for your hanging baskets, you could add pansies during the colder months and petunias mixed with the ivy in the summer, gorgeous, do you have any large garden centres near you, they will be able to advise a suitable tree, in Melbourne we have a great nursery called Gardenworld that has a fabulous range of plants and great advice , I am like you I love gorgeous gardens also, check out Paul Bangay and Peter Fudge for inspiration .
