Help with gutter colour please?

Hi, I'm replacing a red decramastic roof with tin. We are in the country and have a fire place. Our pool area looks directly at our rather large long roof area. I was thinking about zincalum, for it's country and rustic look but now I'm struggling with the gutter colour.

The house is rough render with arches, linen French travertine as the paving and the windows are Ali bronze and a Walnut colour front door. I'm thinking the main house colour will be Duluxe Ecru or Resene Merino (slight warm white for the Ali windows). At the moment the roof is very dominant, I want to change this around so the roof blends and the house looks taller (if that makes sense)

I was thinking of Surfmist for the gutters/fascias (with the zinc roof as a Surfmist roof would be too much glare) but can't seem to find any houses with zinc roof and off white gutters. Am I making a mistake?

I have done so much, probably too much research and am now confused. Anyone got some ideas or thoughts?

Match your gutters to the roof. They aren’t a feature to highlight.

I'd go for the contrast , and go charcoal . Not really a highlight colour , but it would show a reasonable 'break' between the light cream and the light grey , in a reasonably subtle way , but surfmist or similar would achieve nothing IMO .

I'm thinking replacing the gable with cladding maybe in red rock colour (rusty red) and replacing both side fences with horizontal fencing in the same colour. I'm trying to modernise the place but the blue was a similar attempt around 8 years ago so not too confident in my choices.

I found a website that might be quite helpful for you http://www.colourtouch.com.au/ to visualise what colours and finishes could look like on your house. You can choose a style of house that closely matches yours then choose a number of set schemes, or start with a blank canvas and play around with any colour / finish you like.

What ever colour you like is what you should go with - I have a black roof and a white house and white down pipes and guttering - the plastic type. All I notice is how dirty is looks when the winter has set in and been and gone and you are left with green mildew on the guttering and down pipes. If I have a choice and it suited my house I would go for a dark colour - however if you are going to tin you will want colour steel as the sun will just bake black or dark paint. Also look at the life time warranty of both the plastic and steel to determine which may last longer and be cheaper to fix longer term.

On a positive note , almost anything will look better than the butter . Except grey . I can't quite work out the roof colour , but it looks like it may be that brown that had a burgundy/purple tinge ? I'd do the trim in a lighter colour along the lines of Surfmist -- an offwhite with a slight blue tinge -- it would work well with the windows , but also I suspect you wouldn't need to consider changing the roof colour , unless you are sick of it -- the advantage is you do the trim , wait a month or more , see what you think . And rather than the roof , with the lighter trim colour done , I'd be more inclined to spend the 'roof money' on doing a nice cedar or even oak ( real or fake ) timber garage door -- and waterblast the driveway .
