I have found they get blotchy marks on them, we have lemon spotted gum Karndean. We built our home two years ago. They don’t look that bad other people don’t notice them but I seem to see them.
Oh dear, that’s doesn’t sound good. What kind of marks are they Permanent stain marks or Water marks from cleaning products or what? Have you raised it with supplier and if so, did they have any explanation? I’m sure that would be a warranty issue??
We had a bad experience with vinyl planks. They have to be laid on an absolutely perfectly flat surface or otherwise after a year or two as they settle, any tiny little imperfection under them starts to show through. We ended up ripping ours out after 4 years and replacing with laminate flooring planks which we love.
Thanks so much, that is good information to know. We are building from scratch so hopefully the slab will be flat with no imperfections but I take your advice onboard. We have been told hybrid planks are an improvement on straight vinyl planks but it’s hard to tell if that is just a sales pitch??
If it is flexible it will settle into any sweep line in the concrete floor. A good quality underlay helps but time will settle that too. Make sure floor is smooth to guarantee before laying
