Maybe paint the cream tops a black if you don't want to spend any more. See if that helps ?
Or live with them for a while before replacing them.

Are the tops cream , or brass ? I assumed they were brass , but if they are painted or powdercoated , then I would say Kiwimills is spot on !

Just a general thing too -- the beige paths and steps leading straight into all the charcoal around the door is too much of a transition for my liking -- I'd do the steps and the deck just in front of the door in a similar shade to your roof , or maybe slightly 'earthier' ( basically , pick out the darkest shade of brick in the front wall . I also suspect ( getting back on subject ) that then the lights wouldn't stand out so much too .

Thanks for the tip! Good suggestion re the path- we were planning on repainting it so I’ll definitely take that on board. The entire light fitting is polished brass

As its brass , I personally wouldn't paint the top -- looks a bit funny , and prone to peeling .

The path and the driveway look fine -- its just the contrast between the steps and the door surround that looks a bit harsh to me -- going partway inbetween , but keeping in the same tone as the roof and bricks , would tie it in together IMO , and also make the brass lamps also seem more 'themed' , and not as noticeable .

I would paint the steps and path in the darker colour, would really make your cottage have the wow factor.

I like them. They may be a touch high but that is being picky. They are obviously catching the sun and shining like a beacon. But they are lights and that is not a bad thing and will prob dull with age. Agree path looks wrong colour, but it could be the photo.
I’d live with the lights, as there new it is a change and your eye is going to go to them for a while then one day you’ll stop even noticing them at all. Enjoy. Hope you have found a lovely place to live.

We recently painted the trim (from brown and green to the colors you see now) and although we were planning on repainting the porch floor and steps, I honestly hadn’t thought too much about it until now! I love the idea of going darker - will definitely go ahead with that idea. THANK YOU! As for the lights - I’m still looking around for another design. I’m still not 100% about them. If I can’t find anything, then I’ll probably end up darkening / aging them.

While I have you here - I was also thinking of painting the door a light grey (Dovetail) and the inside trim of the adjacent windows around the door the cream color that you see now- what do you think?

If possible I would change your lights to a black metal, I just love your house, I wouldn’t touch the windows around door, they look beautiful, I love high gloss black front doors, very stylish but it may darken the area especially if you paint steps and path, but on saying that it could look fabulous.
