Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. Hi Jenna, Have a look at Colorbond Evening Haze instead of Dune. If you go to a Masters store you can pick up The Wattyl Exterior Colour Solagard Brochure. When you open it up on one side of the colour chip centre page you will see the colours Monument, Surfmist and Evening Haze - this is the "Cool" colours side the other side where Dune is placed is the "Warm" colour side. When choosing colours try to stay with cool or warm tones to create a harmonious look.

I'm not familiar with these colors but try and keep them similar i.e. A blue grey, a green grey, yellow grey etc. that might help a little bit when thinking about your choice. Also I would do the same colour as you use on the render, (bricks) on the weatherboard above the garage or if you aren't keen on that, make it lighter. I would not go darker up higher. I would however do a very dark fence, assume the concrete one on the left. The other option, as it looks like you are embarking on quite a large project, is to change the existing colours i.e. garage door. I would choose a colour for the garage door which matches with the main house colour. Go with your gut! Good luck.

I can't quite follow what you mean by 'we must keep the red roof' ? Are you not painting it , or repainting in the same colour , or would you consider a different shade ? Personally , with the White Duck , I'd go for a bolder red roof , with black or charoal gutterings , stay with the crisp white windows and veranda uprights , and the end detailing on the roof , but the window sills I'd do the same red shade as the roof , and the deck a mid grey . Oh , and also , although its cliche'd , I'd do a 1 metre tall white picket fence and double gates in the crisp white , get rid of the wire mesh haha , so everything about the house and fence looks crisp and themed , but also 'period' .
