Update

To me , you need to get rid of the brown ( beige and brown together died with the 70's ) and the grey .

The front door is great , the white doors on the verandas are great , the charcoal letterbox is great , the beige retaining wall looks 100% better than it sounds haha , and the grey driveway is 'expected' . The garden is great , the folding or sliding windows are great , even the black chairs on the deck are great .

All I'd do initially is do the verandas and railings in charcoal , and the grey 75mm around the roof edge in charcoal .

Maybe later I'd do a natural wooden cedar garage door too , as I think that really suits the style of the house , and possibly change the front door , also to a cedar or similar -- maybe a single door with probably leadlight glass panels on each side ( in a full cedar frame ) .

I’d keep the walls and windows and doors the colour they are. I would take the letterbox colour and add that to the metal railing on the balconies and to the facia and metal strip along the edge of roof and also to the two pots on verandah. Garage door to the colour of the balcony timber.

I’m keen on changing the colour if the house and after suggestions too on making the front section (front door wall) it’s own dark? Colour and a lighter colour either side. We live near the beach and want to stay coastal colour

I think the existing colour is about right for the house . Go too much lighter and it starts to get the same as the doors , so you don't achieve anything . Go more mushroom and it wouldn't look right for the style of house , grey is just grey and done to death , and to add a blue tinge or similar would make it look older IMO .

An English Cream or similar might look smart and modern , and a bit less yellow than the existing shade -- that's the range I'd look at IF it needs doing .

Doing the door alcove in charcoal will add some interest , but it will also darken it , so I'd be reluctant , and I'd keep away from brown tones , or blues or reds or anything else . Both Kate and I have suggested a wooden garage door , and I suggested changing the entrance door to match . If you go charcoal , a wooden door wouldn't achieve much , while the existing white doors could look 'cheap' . In other words , my personal preference would be keep the existing colour , and change the garage and entrance door . They will fade and weather too , referencing the beach location . Add 2 or 3 bright warm coloured pots with cacti and similar beach plants and you have a subtle beach look .

I like Pottsy's and Kate's suggestions. I would definitely do the windows in white to match your doors. I am not a white lover but it looks good there. And charcoal on your facial etc and a timber garage door would look great. I suggest keeping your pots to white, charcoal and red. That would lift the street appeal. And a couple of larger low care plants in those rocks at the front. Lomandras or similar.
