Entry Hallway certainly a BIG Design Dilemma ?
Comments (14)I would paint the brick the same colour as your walls then follow the trim work you already have, I then place a sprint on the wall and place your wedding photo else where, I would also paint our door and window trim the same colour as the white trim to brighten the whole area. Also a nice plant but not a high one I think would also look nice,if your not into plants a then a empty bowl,...See MoreHelp please! Parquetry in my hallway OR solid timber planks??
Comments (29)Thanks Siriuskey for your fotos.... beautiful Parquetry floors, beautiful home and stunning water views! I notice your parquetry floor transitions to grey tiles as well.... which is also very similar to what i will have happening. Im now very much leaning towards parquetry you'll be pleased to know. I collected some samples today, and noticed the store had them in a double formation which i'd never seen layed like that before. Its just 1 block of parquetry layed right next to another to make it seem thicker. I think it looks quite contemporary....check out the pic below from the timber showroom:(top half shows 2 blocks layed together in herringbone pattern) I placed a few of these on my floor as example No1, then i placed some in single herringbone as example No2 below. Which do you think looks better? - examples No1 double block herringbone - example No2 single block herringbone Thanks in advance for everyones input and feedback :-)...See MoreWIR design help please
Comments (29)Oh my these ideas are all so good! Thank you all! So I have had a few red wines and am getting a little excited but I am blown away by how much you have all helped resolve this. Brilliant Messy Him is equally impressed!! OkLouise, I love your three suggestions!!! I am particularly keen to look more into the third one as I have always loved the layouts that have the amenities tucked behind the vanity.. I just didn’t think we could fit it in to ours. This is such a neat design, thank you. Siriuskey, “Brilliant him” made me laugh out loud. I adore the ottoman ideas... what luxury. And I would never have thought about going for the natural light and adding a little makeup area there would be absolutely perfect! I also love how you have zoned the toilet and vanity from the showering / bathing. Sooooo good! Thank you! Nic perhaps I could do both? Natural for daylight hours and hollywood for evening? I think that’s perfectly acceptable ;) We are meeting with our architect in the a.m and can’t wait to go over your ideas. I’ll be sure to post our final plans. And please look out for my future cries for help! Next to tackle is “to void or not to void”!!!! I’ll explain more later this week. Thanks all Emma x...See MoreHelp with hallway photo configuration please
Comments (41)Thanks siriuskey. Yes I do want to use the frames I have and although Julie’s suggestion is probably the nicest, it’s not possible. That’s not to say another config won’t look good. Truth is I don’t have alot of wall space and I want to buy some large colourful artwork for two big walls that I do have. So I’ve narrowed down to two configurations. Which do you prefer? Montage and two horizontals or the cluster of 4? I do like the cluster but the lowest point will be quite low. It’s 120cm from highest to lowest points. Thanks everyone!!...See MoreKerasia K
