Minimise renovation dust

Need some advice again please. Ceramic floor tiles coming up soon and I’m preparing for the dust onslaught. Big items/paintings etc. are being stored in a room/garage with sheets covering them. My question is can I keep items in head height cupboards, cover outside of cupboards with plastic sheets and seal with masking tape? My concern is two fold - will this help against the dust and will items (glasses etc) fall over? Not having ever experienced this before I’m not sure how forceful the tile removal will be. Also running out of alternate storage space for every item. I accept there will be dust regardless, it’s just how to minimise it a bit. Any suggestions welcome.
