Windows Design Dilemma

Windows and Doors

We have timber windows and doors. Is it going to look out of place if we replace the balcony French doors that are in timer with aluminium.

assuming you are replacing the existing doors due to some problem so it won't be strange if the new doors function better for you but what colour windows do you have and what colour and style door doors have you chosen

We are replacing the balcony only as water is getting in. All the windows and doors are painted in Surfmist on the outside. This is the current door with side windows. We have a similar set up downstairs.

In your example I’d paint the trims the darker colour but have the whole room the darker colour not just a feature wall.

Surmist is an easy colour to match in aluminium and i would have stacking or sliding glass doors to maximise the waterproofing, increase available space on the balcony, make fly screening so much easier and the narrower aluminium frames would block less of your views
